Edge of Honor is one of the finest Brad Thor books in the series. With dynamic kinetic sequences and a ‘straight from today’s headlines’ theme, this book won’t let you put it down.
Thor brings the action and intensity from the very start, racing towards a blistering climax. This is the perfect book for the fourth of July as the explosion on the page outshine any fireworks readers might see during the holiday celebrations. The Harvath series was founded on principles of patriotism, intrigue, and timely plausibility. As the series evolves, those themes continue to shine through regardless of where the fictional universe takes our favorite protagonist.
After a globetrotting six-month honeymoon, Scot and Solvi are ready to celebrate the fourth of July in Washington DC, however the country is not the same as they he once knew. Political turmoil and a brazen attack force the pair back into action. Without the resources of his former employers (Carlton Group and the CIA), Harvath is forced to call in old debts and new favors to thwart increasingly deadly threats to America.
Any fans who had concerns about “what now?” for Harvath after his departure from the Carlton Group should be laid to rest. This is one of my top three in the series and I believe the new freedom the newlyweds have allows for a wider range of dynamic storylines and plot twists going forward. I can’t wait to see what Brad has in store for us.
