This technothriller grabbed me from page one and never let go. Set in a near-future world dominated by LLIAM—a powerful AI that influences nearly every life decision—the story is full of twists you won’t see coming and so close to reality it’s genuinely mind-blowing. LLIAM is more than CHATGPT or Alexa, this is the kind of AI that basically runs people's lives (think: your food, your dating life, how to get away with murder – literally everything), the plot takes a hard left when LLIAM vanishes and suddenly everyone starts getting exposed by terrifyingly personal confessions.
What follows is pure chaos—humans turning on each other, corporations crumbling, secrets erupting like landmines. It’s twisty, smart, and way too close to reality for my comfort (I mean that in a good way). Carr clearly knows the tech world, and that insider edge makes it feel scarily possible. Fast-paced, addictive, and honestly? A little too real. This is less of a thriller and more of a wake-up call disguised as a really great read.
