Aiden Bailey kicks off this new entry with an exciting action sequence much like a Bond movie where Mark Pierce battles a Russian assassin on rooftops and enclosed trenches in a fight to the death. Pierce is then assigned to do a deeper investigation of a leak that has powerful entities on the hunt for the material, killing any and all journalists associated with it. Can Pierce get to the surviving journalists and prevent the material from falling into the wrong hands?
If nothing else, Bailey’s stories are full of adventure and adrenaline-pumping scenarios fleshed out for an immersive reading experience. Luckily, we’re treated to a lot more than action with stunning locales, high suspense, and intriguing characters, particularly the protagonist who continues to remain a mystery but with some new clues revealed to his enigmatic past.
