However, Wegener maintains a laser-focus on further fleshing out Duke Gibbs as a resonating and engaging hero, despite his almost invincibility, and he does this by showing readers what makes Duke the man he is, through trials of kindness, compassion, and a thirst for justice when all seems to be hopeless.
An Even Chance of Violence is a fast-hitting thriller that pumps you full of adrenaline and excitement with its cool action and sublime storytelling.
