Chole, Brock, and other law enforcement officials must turn over every leaf to find out who is responsible for the death of Summer Randall and save face for the Maine State Police. No matter the cost, Detective Justice and team are willing to put in the effort.
Bitter Fall has everything you need from violence, despair, and a little bit of poetic justice sprinkled in. It’s a sensational follow up to my Best Thriller Books Biggest Surprise of 2025 in Crimson Thaw. Coffin delivers intrigue, emotion, and truth all while leaving the story authentic and dirty. I had an ominous feeling at multiple times, gravitating towards the feelings of the detectives, highlighting Coffins ability to really draw me in and keep me hooked. Brock Justice is a highly enjoyable character that is determined, albeit a little unorthodox, but that’s just part of the reason I feel this character shines.
